Thank you for your interest in Riverdale's Competitive Cheerleading Program!

Riverdale's cheer program holds try-outs every spring and is open to Riverdale kids currently in and/or rising grades 5 - 8.

We are a COMPETITIVE cheer team that works year around in preparation for competitions throughout the fall/winter seasons including Regional, State, National and World competitions.

Additionally, our program promotes School Spirit by way of pep rallies as well as other school events, and we are ALWAYS there to cheer on our RAIDER BASKETBALL teams!

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is paramount to the Riverdale Cheer program. Throughout the year, we wash cars, sell yummy Butter Braids, Spirit Wear, host dances, Mother & Son Bingo, Raiderette Cheer Clinics and much more!

By attending an event we are hosting or purchasing an item we are selling you are helping our kids make their way to the competitions they work so hard for all year long.

Riverdale Cheer is so very fortunate to have THE BEST Coaches any team could ever hope for!

COACH CHRIS CRABTREE

Chris is very well known in the cheer world and and has been coaching cheer teams for more than 25 years. He is the owner of Memphis Pride All Star Cheer. He has cheered at and coached for the University of Memphis, University of Kentucky, Germantown High School and is currently the coach of Riverdale and our sister schools, Houston Middle and Houston High.

COACH CANDACE NURSE

Candace has been coaching Riverdale Cheer for a number of years and is definitely an integral part of our cheer family. She sincerely LOVES our kids and will do anything within her power to help them succeed, whether in cheer or outside. She is an AMAZING MENTOR! Candace cheered for the University of Memphis and has been coaching cheer for more than 14 years.

MEET OUR SPONSOR

Mrs. Taylor Toldi is our amazing faculty sponsor. Mrs. Toldi has been teaching for three years at Riverdale having taught first grade and now kindergarten.

Cheer is in her blood and it truly shows through her enthusiasm she shares with our team.

Mrs. Toldi started cheering in the first grade for Bartlett Panthers rec and moved on to cheer at Appling Middle School and Bolton High while also cheering for Memphis Elite. In college, she was a cheerleader for UT Martin!

We are so lucky to have such a dedicated faculty sponsor who has a true love of the sport and our kids.
